Impact

The program has significantly impacted children and young adults, helping them build positive self-images at every level. They are demonstrating their capabilities and achieving success in higher education and their careers. This positive outcome is influencing their families, schools, other institutions, and the broader community.

Another impact is the positive change in parents’ attitudes and behaviours. Empowered parents are better equipped to help their children and young adults face the challenges of everyday life.

By consistently hosting community awareness events like World Hearing Day and the International Week of the Deaf People (IWDP), Anwesha Kolkata has garnered stakeholder support to address deafness-related issues, promoting awareness and acceptance of DHH individuals, fostering a more inclusive community.
