Anvesha Kolkata is an association of parents and well-wishers of children and hearing impaired persons, dedicated to the social inclusion of deaf and hard of hearing children. For two decades, we have supported children and their families, believing that with the right early intervention they can become contributing citizens of our country.
Our mission is to build a committed and strong parent group that provides guidance and training to parents and caregivers of children with hearing impairment. We aim to create awareness and sensitivity in the community and network with other organizations working in the area of disability.
Organizes events like World Hearing Day and the International Week of the Deaf People to promote societal acceptance and inclusion of deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals.
The training aims to enhance parents' well-being, knowledge, and empowerment, helping them understand their role, accept their child, meet emotional needs, and learn about their child's potential, rights, and entitlements.
