The deaf children of EIP ( Early Intervention Proggramme), Anwesha Kolkata celebarted holi along with their parents, teachers and well wishers.
“FAMILY DAY” was celebrated by “Pratidhwani” – a state level federation of parents associations of children and persons with deafness on 29th January, Sunday, 2017 at Bishop’s College, Kolkata. About 240 people across 9 districts of West Bengal ( Bankura, Jalpaiguri, Howrah, North 24 Parganas, South 24 Parganas, Midnapore, Hooghly, Kolkata etc.) actively participated. There were nearly 120 children and young adults with deafness, their siblings and friends. The other part of the group was their parents, family members, teachers, friends and well wishers.
Anwesha Kolkata organized its annual get together programme on 8th January, Sunday, 2017 at Barendrapara, Rajpur, Kolkata and more than 100 people have participated. Anwesha Kolkata actively participated in a “Walk” organized by Disability Activists Forum (DAF) to celebrate the World Disability Day on 3 December, Saturday, 2016.
Anwesha Kolkata will join in A WALK- organized by Disability Activist Forum (DAF) to create awareness about the disability and facilitate mainstreaming of people with disabilities.

“Anwesha Kolkata” celebrated its 12th birth day on November 29, 2016 at its centre at Baghajatin. The programme was attended by 53 persons from deaf children, young adults with their parents, special educators, friends and supporters of Anwesha.
