An annual planning workshop took place throughout the day at Anwesha Kolkata on 17th February 2019.
An outdoor life skill training programme was organized by Indian Mountaineering Foundation (East Zone), Pratidhwani WB and Anwesha Kolkata from 11 -16 February 2019 at Samsing, North Bengal. 30 deaf young adults participated in a cleanliness drive at Rocky Island Samsing, wherein they stepped out of the camp site as waste warriors. They not only cleaned the area but also collected the non-biodegradable waste littered on the banks of Murti river. Ms. Snigdha Sarkar, President, Anwesha Kolkata participated in the planning meeting of the World Hearing Forum, organized by the World Health Organization (WHO) in Geneva, Switzerland, from 4 to 5 December 2018 on behalf of GPODHH – Global Coalition of Parents of children who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
